LinkedIn signals for prospecting

I connected LinkedIn activity to Clay, then checked who matched the target and who needed to be excluded.

ClayIntent signalsData QA

STARTING POINT

Some captured activity was missing from Clay, and repeated events made the list harder to use.

WHAT CHANGED

I repaired delivery and checked people, companies, and duplicates.

WHAT THE TEAM RECEIVES

  • LinkedIn signals delivered to Clay
  • A prospect list checked against the target
  • Separate exclusions and uncertain profiles

The workflow

A simplified view of the work, with client information removed.

The problem

Some captured activity was not reaching Clay. Repeated posts and profiles also made the list harder to use.

My contribution

  • Checked where delivery was failing and repaired the connection.
  • Matched repeated activity to the same person.
  • Reviewed roles and companies, then separated potential buyers from research contacts and exclusions.

Evidence & scope

I compared the source captures with the Clay export and checked the retained profiles against the targeting rules.

What came out of it

A working Clay intake and a prospect list with clear exclusions.

The team had one list to review, with duplicates removed and unresolved profiles kept separate. Email verification was still required before outreach.
